About Samuel

Sam has extensive experience working as a Clinical Psychologist in private practice settings in Australia and with a wide range of client presentations: anxiety disorders (i.e. OCD, Social Anxiety or Phobias), depression and mood disorders, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, eating disorders, personality disorders, grief/loss and anger management. He assists clients to understand their own psychological processes, the current difficulties they are facing and the steps which can be taken to resolve their problems.
Sam uses a range of therapeutic frameworks in order to best suit each of his clients, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-based therapy, Schema Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy. He combines a professional style with his warm and authentic manner and he places importance on working collaboratively with his clients to reach treatment outcomes. He considers it an honour to be entrusted with the personal information of his clients and to assist them in resolving their issues.
In addition to his work in private practice, Sam has facilitated South Australian, government funded, group treatment programs for individuals with a diagnosis of PTSD and individual programs focusing on suicide prevention. He has also worked in university undergraduate psychology programs and is a published author in the area of motivational theory. Sam's training began with an honours degree in Psychology, followed by a Master of Clinical Psychology and he is endorsed by the Australian Psychological Society as a specialist in the area of Clinical Psychology.
